Founded in 2009, Sterling Conservatory of Music is a school dedicated to the creative enrichment of the community. SCM is Veteran-Owned and Family-Operated. We offer artistic, personalized lessons to students of all ages, levels, and musical backgrounds with an emphasis on creative learning and technique. Our school belongs to the Music Teacher's National Association (MTNA) and Northern Virginia Music Teacher's Association (NVMTA), providing additional recital, competition, and audition opportunities. We offer our own Accreditation Exam, have two Recitals a year, and offer various Course Events annually. Our students range from ages 4 to 124 years old, from beginners to highly advanced levels. For Adult Students in particular, we are one of Metro-DC's/Northern Virginia's top music centers offering unique Adult-Only Soirées. Our students get to play on our Concert Grand Steinway, Semi-Concert Grand, and 3 additional Grand pianos. SCM faculty are Grammy-winning, international performers, and Carnegie Hall experienced.
